Amazon To Open Delivery Station In Littleton
The company said it plans to open this year.

LITTLETON, MA — Amazon Logistics has just secured a lease in Littleton with plans to open a delivery station in town this year.
The company plans to take over· the 143,600 sq ft property at 151-153 Taylor St, for a fleet of electric delivery vehicles. It's part of the company's effort to put 10,000 electric delivery vehicles on the road by 2022.
The station is set to open in 2021, according to the company.

"New delivery stations that will provide efficient delivery for customers, and create thousands of job opportunities for the talented workforce," Amazon spokesperson Emily Hawkins said in a statement.
Amazon has more than 250 delivery stations in the U.S. Packages are shipped to a delivery station from neighboring Amazon Fulfillment and Sortation Centers, loaded into delivery vehicles and delivered to customers.

The company hasn't announced any jobs associated with the delivery station.
"We’ll release more information about the Littleton delivery station closer to the station’s launch," Hawkins said in an email. "Generally speaking, delivery stations create between 80-175 full and part-time jobs and hundreds of driver opportunities."
Since 2010, Amazon has created more than 20,000 full and part-time jobs in Massachusetts and invested more than $6.2 billion across the state, according to a statement.
