A local family displaced by a pre-Christmas house fire has been the recipient of an outpouring of support in the days after the blaze.Â
Following a tragic fire last Friday on Beaver Brook Road in Westford, the Westford Fire Department put the call out for a variety of items that would help the family get back on their feet in the immediate aftermath. According to Westford Patch, the outpouring was so generous that some of the clothing items have actually been re-donated.Â
A GoFundMe campaign has also popped up to raise money to get this family of five--including children ages 16, 12 and 9--back on their feet as they face the daunting task of rebuilding after the devastating fire. As of approximately 1 p.m. on Dec. 26, the page has nearly hit its $10,000 goal.Â
All of the money raised will go to the family into the Daily Family Fund, being set up at Northern Bank.Â
Here are five nearby causes that are looking for help. Check out these causes and find out more about them. Go to GoFundMe to find even more.
