Boston Marathon Bombing Survivor Jeff Bauman Gets Married in Chelmsford

Bauman, who was gravely injured in the blasts, married Erin Hurley Saturday at their home.

Jeff Bauman, who was gravely injured in the Boston Marathon bombings, got married in Chelmsford over the weekend.

Bauman married fiancée Erin Hurley at the couple’s home Saturday. Bauman’s agent told CBS Boston it was an “intimate ceremony at their home surrounded by family and friends.”

The couple welcomed their first child, Nora, in July.

Bauman lost both his legs in the blasts from the Boston Marathon Bombing on April 15, 2013. His rescue received global attention as the heart-wrenching image of the Chelmsford resident, severely injured, being wheeled away from the Boston Marathon bombing scene by first responders and good samaritan Carlos Arredondo was published around the world.

In addition, Bauman has been hailed one of the Boston Marathon heroes, helping identify Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as the alleged bomber.

In April, Bauman published a book, “Stronger.”
