DA: Hunting Knife Allegedly Used to Rob a Westford Convenience Store
Shane and Tammy Perry facing masked armed robbery charges for allegedly robbing Westford convenience store in January.

WOBURN, MA --A 29-year-old Lowell man was released on$7,500 cash bail after pleading not guilty to masked armed robbery and assault charges, accused of wielding a large hunting knife as he and two-co-defendants allegedly robbed the Brookside Convenience Store in Westford last January.
In Middlesex Superior Court on Monday, Shane Perry, 29, of Lowell, was ordered to remain in a treatment facility, stay away from the convenience store and have no contact with his co-defendants after pleading not guilty to charges of: masked armed robbery; assault with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; conspiracy, intimidation of a witness (two counts) and larceny.
Tammy Perry, 33, also of Lowell, is being held without bail pending a May 26 dangerousness hearing in Lowell Superior Court on the same charges.

Westford police allege that on Jan. 28 the suspects donned masks and carried weapons as they entered the Brookside Convenience Store. Shane Perry allegedly wore a bandana over his face and carried a large hunting knife, while Tammy Perry wore a ski mask and was armed with a BB gun, prosecutors allege.
The suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and jumped into Diana Frechette's car. Frechette, 36, of Lowell, was not indicted in this case.

Prosecutors allege that the Perry's stole both the BB gun and knife at the Walmart in Tewksbury just before the robbery.
Shane Perry's next court date is May 25 in Lowell Superior Court.
