Dennis J. Lima, 64, Westford Business Owner, Former Resident

Dennis J. Lima lived in Westford for many years and owned D & D Construction in Westford for 40 years.

WESTFORD, MA - Dennis J. Lima, age 64, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his home in Tyngsborough after a year-long battle with cancer. He was the loving husband, best friend and soul mate of Nancy J. (Dundas) Lima with whom he would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on September 17.

Dennis was born in Lowell on April 15, 1951, a son of the late John J. and Alice J. (Andrade) Lima. He was a resident of Tyngsborough for the past nine years and was formerly of Westford.

He received his education and graduated from Lowell Trade School. Prior to his illness, he was a finish carpenter and co-owner of D & D Construction of Westford for 40 years.

Dennis was known for his great sense of humor, loved a good joke and always made people laugh. He enjoyed golfing, loved music and was an avid fan of the Boston sports teams. Most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, meant everything to Dennis.

Besides his loving wife, Nancy, he is survived by his children: Michael J. Lima and his wife, Sharon, of Acton, and Jessica J. Pascal and her husband, Joseph, of Acton; his six grandchildren (Sydney, Allison and William Pascal, and Benjamin, Isabel and Grace Lima); a brother, Frank Lima of Lowell; his father and mother-in-law, David and Rita Dundas of Westford; his brother-in-law and business partner of 40 years, Dennis Dundas and his wife, Betz, of Tyngsborough; two sisters-in-law, Kim Healy and her partner, Mike Ingalls of Westford; and Susan Welch and her husband Bradford of Nashua; also many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Family and friends may call at the J.A. Healy Sons Funeral Homes (57 N. Main St., Westford), on Sunday, March 6 from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, 1317 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314 or online at www.curemeso.org or to the Circle Home Health and Hospice Care, 847 Rogers St., Lowell, MA 01852.
