Holy Week and Easter at St. Mark's Church, Westford

Spring is a season of rebirth and renewal. The evidence is all around us as the daffodils and tulips emerge, the forsythia burst with yellow blossoms, and the magnolia start to bloom. Spring is also the time when Christians around the world remember the Passion of our Lord followed by His death and glorious Resurrection on Easter.

Have you been a faithful churchgoer, but are new to town? Were you raised in a churchgoing family, but now it’s been years since you’ve attended a service? Perhaps, you are simply curious to learn what relevance the church might have in your life. Who is Jesus? What might His Resurrection mean in your life today?

St. Mark’s Church in Westford is a welcoming Christian community in the Episcopal tradition that offers a place to bring your questions and explore your faith. We invite you to join us at any of our services during Holy Week and Easter. All of the events listed will be held at our church at the corner of Cold Spring and Graniteville Road in Westford, except for our special services that we offer at Bridges by EPOCH, 108 Littleton Rd, Westford.

• Palm/Passion Sunday, April 14th

10:00 am Palm Procession and Holy Eucharist
2:30 pm Palm Sunday Storytelling at Bridges by EPOCH

• Maundy Thursday, April 18th

4:00 pm Worship at Bridges by EPOCH
6:30 pm Soup Supper in Williams Hall
7:30 pm Service of Holy Eucharist commemorating our Lord’s Last Supper with ritual hand washing

• Good Friday, April 19th

11:00 am Children’s Storytelling and Easter Egg Dyeing
7:30 pm Good Friday Service of Tenebrae

• Holy Saturday, April 20th

4:00 pm Family Easter Vigil Service, followed by and Easter Egg Hunt for the children and joyous Easter Reception

• Easter Sunday, April 21st

10:00 am Festival Holy Eucharist with traditional Easter hymns and choral anthem
