I-93 South Through Boston to Close Late Tuesday Night

Interstate 93 Southbound headed through Boston will be closed Tuesday night at 11 p.m. through Wednesday until 5 a.m. for scheduled maintenance, according to a press release from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

Complete lane closures will begin at the Route 38 off-ramp to Mystic Avenue in Somerville. Cars will be detoured and allowed back on I-93 at the Albany Street on-ramp. Crews will work on the Lower Deck, Zakim Bridge and O’Neill Tunnel Southbound. 

Further maintenance is planned on I-93 Northbound in late August, causing further road closures from 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20 through 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
