Westford's Whole Foods finally opened its doors to a crowd of over 300 people this week. Here's the full story, in case you missed it.

WESTFORD, MA - The Westford Whole Foods finally opened its doors Wednesday morning after much anticipation

Over 300 people attended the grand opening including Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Representative James Arciero, Representative David Nangle and Westford Town Manager Jodi Ross.

The 43,000 square-foot store is located at 160 Littleton Road in the Westford Valley Marketplace. It employs about 165 full and part-time team members, including 100 new hires from the Westford area.

“Whole Foods Market Westford was designed specifically to meet the needs of the Westford and surrounding communities,” Store Team Leader Todd Johnson said in a news release. “It is so much more than just a grocery store.”

The new Whole Foods Market is partnering with the Whole Kids Foundation to donate a school garden grant to Westford Academy.
