Local Ace Becomes Nationally Ranked Pitcher

Matt Landers of Littleton nationally ranked by Perfect Game on 2016 High Follow List and Top 10 southpaw pitcher in Mass.

Perfect Game USA (the nation’s premier baseball scouting service) ranks Class of 2016 LHP Matt Landers (Littleton High School, Littleton MA) in the 81st percentile nationally for Fastball Velocity among high school pitchers. Metrics were captured during Landers’ 4-3 save for Show Baseball Academy vs. East Cobb Rockies on 7/7/15 at the Perfect Game 17U WWBA National Championship in Lakepoint, GA. During his 2-inning appearance, Landers held the East Cobb Rockies hitless with a dominant 85 mph fastball, allowing no earned runs, no walks and striking out three with a pitched strike percentage of .750.

Landers is named on Perfect Game’s Class of 2016 High Follow List both nationally and in Massachusetts. He is also ranked #7 among lefty pitchers statewide.

This Fall, Landers has returned to play for Show Baseball Academy in the Granite State Showcase League at colleges throughout New England. He will also be returning as the starting Senior pitcher for the Littleton Tigers varsity squad in the Spring. Landers has committed to play DII college baseball at Franklin Pierce University in 2016, and looks forward to joining the ranks of the NE Ravens for summer baseball this coming June following graduation from Littleton High School.
