Local Pitching Ace Named All-Star, Strikeouts Leader

2016 Littleton High School southpaw one of top strikeout leaders in State

Matt Landers, 2016 LHP for Littleton High School has been named a Mid-Wachusett League All-Star for the second time this 2015 Season. Landers ended the regular season for the Littleton Tigers varsity squad with a pitching Win/Loss record of 3-2 and 1.89 ERA.

The Junior pitcher’s total of 62 strikeouts to 10 walks over 37 innings include 2 complete game shut-outs, and also earned Landers the Fireman Award for being among the MIAA’s Top Strikeout Leaders for 2015 in the entire State. He was also named “Sports Star of the Day” in the 5/29/15 issue of The Lowell Sun.

This summer season, Landers will be playing for Show Baseball Academy (Lawrence, MA) on their 17U Showcase Team at regional and national tournaments including the reknowned Perfect Game Wood Bat National Championship in Georgia during early July.
