WESTFORD, MA – Memorial Day Is Monday, May 28, and Westford will mark the holiday with a parade on Sunday, May 27. Below is the schedule of events:

• Veterans assemble at Cameron Sr. Center 8:00 AM
– 20 Pleasant St

• Forge Pond/Pond St. Freedom Park 9:00 AM
– March from Cameron to Freedom Park
– Wreath Ceremony

• Forge Village Honor Roll (W. Prescott) 9:15 AM
– March from Freedom Park to W. Prescott

• Graniteville Monument (North Main) 9:45 AM
– March from American Legion Post 159

• Nab Lake (Byrne Ave. Dam) 10:45 AM
– March from Oak Hill Rd/Jo-Jo Lane
– Wreath Ceremony

Westford Town Common
10:45am - 12pm - Honor Roll Readings. Flags will be handed out to attendees

What's Open And Closed On Memorial Day

The holiday also means government offices and some businesses will be closed. Before you head out, check our list of what's open and closed on the holiday.

• Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
• Subway, buses: Sunday schedule
• Supermarkets: Open
• Convenience stores: Open
• Bars: Open
• Banks: Closed
• Basically anything to do with municipal government: Closed
• Libraries, see above: Closed
• Schools: Closed
• Mail: Express delivery only
• Trash/recycling collection: Delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc., ending with Friday pickup on Saturday.
