Netflix Looking To Film In Ayer, Lancaster
The streaming service is eyeing Ayer and nearby Lancaster to shoot an upcoming program.
AYER, MA – Netflix is eyeing the town of Ayer as a main filming location for an upcoming program, according to the Sentinel & Enterprise. Lancaster Selectman Mark Grasso told the publication as he understands it, "Lancaster and Ayer are going to be the two central filming locations."
It is not clear yet whether Netflix plans to shoot a film or series, though Grasso said he does not think it will be a movie. The streaming service has already sent scouts to Lancaster, and Grasso told the Sentinal & Enterprise filming could start next month.
Parts of the Hulu series Castle Rock were shot in Lancaster last year.
