Road Rage: Guy Allegedly Pulls Gun On Car in Westford

The man was reportedly angry that a 16-year-old was driving too slowly.

WESTFORD, MA - A man driving a Patriot Lock & Key van was arrested for allegedly drawing a handgun on the driver of another vehicle Wednesday, police said.

Hans-Peter Schlueter, 47, of Ayer reportedly felt that a 16-year-old with a learner's permit was driving his car too slowly in the area of Littleton Road and Tadmuck Road, police said.

Witnesses told police they saw Schlueter pointing a loaded handgun at the driver's 25-year-old brother, who was sitting in the passenger seat, police said.

Schlueter was subsequently arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon and held on $1,540.00 pending his arraignment at Ayer District court Thursday, police said.

Schlueter had an active license to carry at the time of the incident but it has now been suspended, police said.
