Tournament Run Continues for Westford Girls Basketball
The girls have earned a bid in the semifinal round of the Central Division I MIAA tournement.
WESTFORD, MA - The Westford Academy girls' basketball team's tournament run continues thanks to a win in the quarterfinals Friday night.
The No-4-seeded Westford girls topped Franklin High (5) by a score of 51-44 and will play in the semifinals of the tournament on Sunday.
The semifinal game against Wachusett (1) will tip off at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The winner Sunday will face either Natick High (6) or Algonquin High (5) in the sectional final on March 12.
