Town Of Westford Reminds Residents About The Dog License By March 31 To Avoid Late Charges

Don’t forget to register your dog – it’s easy, convenient, and it’s the law! In Massachusetts, all dogs aged six months and older must be licensed. Registration is $15 for a spayed/neutered dog, $20 if the dog isn’t fixed. If you haven’t done so yet, consider taking care of it this month, as a late fee of $25 per household will take effect April 1st. There are three simple ways to license your best friend:

-Mail a check, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to the Town Clerk’s Office, 55 Main St, Westford MA 01886.
-Pay online via unipay (https://unipaygold.unibank.com/CustomerInfo.aspx).

-Drop off your payment in the box marked “census” in the vestibule at Town Hall.
Proof of rabies vaccination is required in order to license a dog. If you are unsure as to whether or not we already have it on file, or want to send it electronically, email us at townclerk@westfordma.gov and we will be happy to help.
