Westford Among Top 50 Safest Communities In Massachusetts

WESTFORD - Westford is ranked as one of the top 50 safest communities in Massachusetts based on nationwide study of crime crime statistics, according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security.

The NCHSS, which is based on line at alarms.com, reviewed the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics along with its own staff research, according to a press release. Cities and Ttowns are ranked based on the rate of reported crimes, such as aggravated assault, murder, rape and robbery, property crimes, including burglary, arson, larceny and motor-vehicle theft, per 1,000 people.

The study does not take into account communities with fewer than 5,000 residents.
