Westford Ghost Stories for Friday the 13th

WESTFORD, MA - Friday the 13th is approaching and Westford ghosts could be coming out to play. Here are some Westford ghost stories that we've found around the internet. We can't guarantee that the stories are true, but isn't it more fun to believe they are?

Name-Calling Ghost:

A GhostsofAmerica.com submission claims the writer, identified only as Lauren, saw an apparition in her Main Street home when she was a teenager. The Ghost was about five-feet, two-inches with long hair and a long white dress.

As an adult in 2007 or 2008 the writer claims she visited her childhood home. She was sleeping in one of the bedrooms and said she heard a loud whisper at about 3 a.m.

"It said my name twice... I knew my youngest sister was in the bedroom above me so I texted her to see if she had said my name. No response; she was sound asleep. I called my fiancé, I was so spooked," she wrote.

Helping a Westford WWI Soldier Go Home:

The paranormal group Spirit Light Network helped the ghost of a WWI soldier who died in 1918 from an explosion, Wicked Local reported back in 2008. The soldier was stuck in a Westford graveyard and the group claimed they helped him "go towards the light." The team each relived the soldier's death for him and convinced him he would be accepted in the afterlife, Wicked Local reportd.

Haunted Westford Town Common Park:

Westford's Town Common Park is haunted by at least two ghosts, according to a post on GhostsofAmerica.com.

" I have seen the apparitions of a young woman in old style clothing and a man who looks homeless... This park is a paranormal hot spot," an anonymous person wrote on the website.

The writer said the young woman was partially transparent and appeared for about five seconds. The writer said they could only see the top half of the "homeless man's" body and the apparition disappeared in about two seconds.
