Westford Skier Earns Bronze At Special Olympics

Chris O'Neil skis to victory in Special Olympics Winter World Games in Austria.

WESTFORD -- Westford skier Chris O'Neil was honored at the Board of Selectman meeting this week after he took home a bronze medal in the Special Olympics Winter World Games this month, according to The Sun.

O'Neil won the medal in the Advanced Super-G slalom skiing event at the games in Austria, The Sun reports. He was one of four Massachusetts residents to represent Team USA at the Special Olympics Winter World Games.

In 2015, O'Neil won two gold medals in the Massachusetts Special Olympics, which qualified him for the Winter World Games.

A party is planned in O'Neil's honor for April 7 at the Nabnasset Lake Country Club.
