Westford Teen Finalist For State Award
Samantha Valcourt of Westford was one of two Nashoba Valley Technical High finalists for the state's Presidential Scholars program.

WESTFORD, MA — Samantha Valcourt of Westford was one of two Nashoba Valley Technical High School finalists for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Presidential Scholars program for Career and Technical Education.
Valcourt is a high-honors senior in the Health Assisting program with plenty of accolades under her belt, according to the school: She's a freshman mentor and president of the Class of 2021. She has been inducted into the National Honor Society and will be inducted this spring into the National Technical Honor Society. She has also twice been named Athlete of the Month, for softball and cheerleading in 2019.
And that's not all: Valcourt is a certified nursing assistant, a home health aide and has her CPR and first aid certifications.

She is working as a CNA at Westford House nursing home through Nashoba Tech’s Cooperative Education program.
She plans to attend Western New England University in its Pre-Physicians Assistant program, according tothe school.

"The last four years just flew by!" Valcourt's mother Tara Valcourt said. "I am excited for her future and all it holds, but sad that high school is all over and the last two years weren’t all the fun and festivities the kids should have had."
