2 Weston Rowers Named National Scholar-Athletes

WESTON, MA—Two rowers from Weston on the Wesleyan University women's crew were named National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) for the 2018 season.

They are: Clara Babbott-Ward and Rachael Crunkleton, both Weston High School graduates.

The team was honored by the National Invitational Rowing Championships (NIRC) as well, as they were named to the 2018 NIRC All-Academic Team earlier this month.

In addition to their excellence in the classroom, the crew also excelled in the water as Wesleyan earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships and finished fifth overall in the country in the Varsity 8 and fourth in the Second Varsity 8.
