American Idol Results: Who Made it Through?

MASSACHUSETTS β Itβs been a hard-fought climb, and well-deserved feat for all of them. Going into this weekβs American Idol episodes, 14 semifinalists compete to land in the coveted Top 10.

The judges announce the first eight semifinalists to make the Top 10 on Wednesday night βs show. That will leave six to sing for Americaβs vote and the final two spots. On Thursday, Idol airs its first live show of the season, when the final two semifinalists are announced, and the Top 10 perform for Americaβs vote.
American Idol airs at 8 p.m. (ET) on FOX both nights.

8:57 p.m.: Mackenzie Bourg performed his original song βRoses.βKeith Urban said, βThatβs such a great song. It really is. You have everybody reacting to that song and itβs your song β thatβs an amazing thing.β
8:43 p.m.: Jeneve Rose Mitchell sings Johnny Cashβs βRing of Fire.β Harry Connick, Jr., βWhatβs interesting to me is itβs compelling and interesting, but itβs a bit polarizing. I hear things in your voice that I get, and although that wasnβt the best performance out of all of yours ... your talent is different than everyone else on the stage. It may take a minute for people to catch up to it.β
8:40 p.m.: Sonika Vaid sings Celine Dionβs βI Surrender.β Jennifer Lopez said, ββI said your voice is from god β itβs true. I donβt think I ever got goosies on my face before. The way your voice sits in the music is so out of this world.β
8:37 p.m.: Lee Jean sings Make it Rain by Ed Sheeran.
8:35 p.m.: Jenn Blosil sings True Colors by Cyndi Lauper. Harry Connick, Jr. said, βI knew you had it in you. I had a hard time with My Funny Valentine last week because I was hoping youβd have sung it like you did this one. This was a flawless delivery.β
8:26 p.m.: Avalon Young performs βYo (Excuse Me Miss)β by Chris Brown. βThat was like butter,β Jennifer Lopez.
8:24 p.m.: 15-year-old Tristan McIntosh sings βWhat Hurts The Mostβ by Rascal Flatts. Tristanβs mom is in the audience. Keith Urban: βThat was a perfect song choice for you. I feel like we saw a side we hadnβt heard.β
8:16 p.m. Thomas Stringfellow performs Sβtory of My Lifeβ by One Direction.Harry Connick, Jr., βThereβs a big difference between an idiosyncrasy and a bad habit. You have to stop cracking at the end of every line, unless youβre doing the Cranberries. It gets annoying. Listen back and I think youβll agree with that.β
8:13 p.m. Gianna Isabella performs βPut a Spell on You.β Giannaβs mom and dad are in the audience. Jennifer Lopez said, βWeβre surprised by your sassiness there. There is the beginnings of an amazing artist career. You were my number five pick. You have the most potential for growth.β
8:05 p.m. Manny Torres competes for one of the final six spots, singing βMaster Blasterβ by Stevie Wonder. Keith Urban said he loves the song, but didnβt know if it was the right one for Torres.
8:05 p.m. Final person is LaPorsha Renae

8:02 p.m. Right now there are 10 contestant chairs open, and weβll start filling them up in a moment,β Ryan Seacrest. Judge Jennifer Lopez said the judges unanimously agreed on who should be in the top ten.
