American Idol: Sonika Vaid Moves on as Part of the Final Six

WESTON, MA — Last week, Sonika Vaid, Avalon Young and Lee Jean sang to secure a spot in the final six on Thursday night.

"It gets harder and harder every week," said Connick. "But the save goes to Sonika."

Vaid, a Weston native and Martha's Vineyard resident, got the votes of the judges for a "save," and joins MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, Tristan McIntosh, Dalton Rapattoni and La’Porsha Renae to battle again on Thursday, March 17, as part of Idol's Final Six.

American Idol airs 8-10 p.m. on Fox TV.

One will get voted off on Thursday, leaving the Final Five to move on to next week.
