Dog Walkers Beware: Car Burglaries Rampant at Cat Walk

Police are urging Weston residents not to leave valuables in vehicles parked near the Cat Rock area.

WESTON, MA - At least 10 cars have been broken into recently on Drabbington Way near the baseball field and walking trails, police said Friday.

This area is often used by people who enjoy walking their dogs in the woods.

Most victims have left valuables in plain sight and have come back from the trails to find their windows smashed and items stolen, police said.

Police are urging those who park in the area near the walking trails not to leave valuables out in the open and to lock their cars.

Weston police have increased patrols in the area and are asking anyone with information to report it immediately by calling 781-786-6200.
