EPOCH of Weston raises more than $5,000 for Alzheimer's Walk

The EPOCH Energizers, comprised of staff from EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Weston, raised more than $5,000 for the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

The EPOCH Energizers, a team comprised of 20 staff members from EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Weston, participated in the 2014 Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Paul Revere Park on September 28. In preparation for the walk, the team hosted a number of fundraisers, including a cookout featuring the Red Sox World Series trophies. The team raised more than $5,000, which will support the Alzheimer’s Association’s research and outreach efforts.

β€œI am so grateful to all our residents, families, staff members, volunteers and friends for helping us surpass our fundraising goal and support the search for a cure,” said Leo Tanguay, the EPOCH Energizers’ team leader and EPOCH’s Memory Care Life Enrichment Director.

The EPOCH Energizers rallied with more than 7,000 other people at the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk, held annually in more than 600 communities across the country to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraising and outreach event for Alzheimer’s.
