First Taste of Metrowest to be held March 15

The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the inaugural Taste of MetroWest, an exciting new community event that will showcase a delicious sampling of food and beverages from the area’s finest restaurants, caterers, gourmet and ethnic markets, wineries, brew houses and local purveyors of fine liquors.

This Taste of MetroWest will be held March 15 from 5:30–8 p.m. at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center.

In addition to food and beverage providers, local cultural institutions, entertainment organizations, and sports venues are invited to participate in this event.

“The goal is to provide an opportunity for people throughout the MetroWest region to sample all that is wonderful about this region – to get a true 'taste' of what really makes MetroWest great,” said Bonnie Biocchi, President and CEO of the Metro West Chamber.

MetroWest Medical Center is the event sponsor.

“We are very invested in the health of those around us: our employees and members of the community,” says Andrei Soran, CEO of MetroWest Medical Center.  “We have an active ‘Health for Life’ program where we aim to partner with people to make healthy choices and that includes healthy eating.  For example we have a thriving celiac program here at MetroWest Medical Center.  Because we are very interesting in promoting healthy eating for all, it seemed a natural fit to partner with the Chamber on this premiere event.  We also want to make a difference in people’s lives by being as green as possible, in fact we have an award winning 'Green Team' that is constantly looking at ways to reduce, recycle and reuse, so we are pleased with the Chamber’s efforts to make the ‘Taste of MetroWest’ as green as possible.”

Taste attendees will vote for the “People’s Choice” awards in different categories, giving the guests the final say as to who is the “Best of MetroWest.”
