Helping Hands: Beginnings and Giving
Beginnings School donating to local communities ahead of the holiday season.

Beginnings School is giving thanks and giving back. During the holiday season, students and parents will be donating to important causes in their local communities.
This week, Beginningsβ families donated to the Wellesley Food Pantry; over one-hundred household and kitchen items, including soup, toothbrushes, and toothpaste, were delivered to the Pantry to help families in the neighboring town. In December, Beginnings will be focusing more on personal hygiene and donating soap and shampoo to a Weston non-profit, Hope and Comfort.
With another cold winter looming, Beginningsβ students also participated in a coat drive for the organization, Cradles to Crayons. The Beginnings Parents Association sponsored the collection of a variety of winter gear, including gently-used coats, boots, mittens, scarves, and hats. A full bin of items was donated to Cradles to CrayonsΒ earlier this week.

In December, Beginnings will be lending its support to the Jared Box Project--a spirited non-profit organization inspired to help chronically ill children in hospitals nationwide. Students will be filling a plastic storage box (the size of a shoe box) with small gifts, toys, cards, and games--all meant to be a special diversion for young patients as they undergo chemotherapy and other uncomfortable medical treatments.
