PHOTO GALLERY: Inaugural Pooch Parade Big Success
The first Pooch Parade and Festival, held by the Wayland and Weston Rotary Club, was a big success, and benefitted Buddy Dog in Sudbury.
At the Pooch Parade & Festival on May 16 on the Weston Town Green, pooches and their people had fun while learning together, said organizers.
The Pooch Parade & Festival ticket sales benefitted Buddy Dog β Humane Societyβ, Operation Delta Dog and the Animal Rescue League of Boston.
Presented by the Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland, the Pooch Paradeβ was a celebratory walk that circled the Weston Town Green and past the Reviewing Stand where βcelebrityβ judges reviewed and applauded the ββpoochesβ, and then presented amusing awards, said the announcement. β β

As part of the event, people and pooches eβxplored the βsamples, gifts, and service offerings and participated in fun contesβtβs. β βWinners were selected for βββPoochβ-βPerson Look-Alikeβ,β βββBest Singerββ,β βββBest Kisser,βββ βββBest Tricβkβ and more. β
βOn the Main Stage of the Festival, βfour experts gave short presentationsβ on Canine First Aidβ, Training, βAsk Dog Lady,β Fostering, and Pet Physical Therapy.
