Weston Drama Workshop productions running through July 27
Catch MATILDA, FINDING NEMO JR., THE WOLVES, LEGALLY BLONDE, and SPRING AWAKENING at Regis College Fine Arts Center this week.
Weston Drama Workshop presents the 57th Summer Season in residence at Regis College Fine Arts Center, 235 Wellesley St, Weston. The season features over 180 participants from the MetroWest and Greater Boston communities. Matilda, Disney's Finding Nemo Jr., The Wolves, Spring Awakening, and Legally Blonde run until July 27. Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. Sheβs unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Over the course of her first term at school, Matilda and Miss Honey have a profound effect on each otherβs lives, as Miss Honey begins not only to recognize but also appreciate Matildaβs extraordinary personality. Matildaβs school life isnβt completely smooth sailing, however β the schoolβs mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who donβt abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupilsβ saving grace!

With a score by Tony and Grammy award-winning song-writing team, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (of Avenue Q, Disneyβs Frozen and Disneyβs Coco) this 60 minute production is perfect for children of all ages. The show chronicles the journey of the 2003 Disney/Pixar animated film.

With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
