Weston Resident Joins Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Advisors
Nine additional individuals have joined the Board of Advisors.

WESTON, MAβVia Beth Israel Deaconess HospitalβNeedham: At the recent Beth Israel Deaconess HospitalβNeedham (BIDβNeedham) Annual Meeting of the Boards of Trustees and Advisors, the hospital announced that Denise DeAmore and Leslie Medalie have joined the Board of Trustees. Nine additional individuals have joined the Board of Advisors, including Janet Barrett, Marianne Brons Cooley, Weston resident Bodo Liesenfeld, Stacy Madison, Jeffrey Magram, Eric Morse, Lawrence P. Ward, ED.D, and Meghan York, MD.
The Annual Meeting featured keynote speaker Kevin Tabb, MD, CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess
Medical Center, who spoke about the state of health care in the commonwealth.

excellent judgment, and strong leadership skills that will help ensure the organizationβs growth and

Gaherin, Chair of the Board of Advisors. βWe have a very talented group of individuals who provide a
wide-range of talent and advocacy for the hospital. Our advisors do a tremendous job of connecting the
hospital to the community and responding to the growing needs of the community.β
Bodo Liesenfeld is Managing Partner of Liesenfeld International GmbH, a private investment enterprise. Prior to his current role, he was CEO and Chairman of German-based Rohde & Liesenfeld, an
international air and sea freight forwarding group with global presence. He is the Honorary
Representative of the City of Hamburg to the Northeast of the US and serves as Chairman of the German
Latin America Business Association.
Liesenfeld is a Fellow at Harvard's Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and Chairman of the
Advisory Board of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. He is also the President and Member of the Board
of the German-American Business Council in Boston, a Member of the International Advisory Board of
the Business School IAE in Buenos Aires, a Founding and Presidium Member of the Council of the
German American Conference at Harvard e.V. and Member of the Curatorship of the Protestant
Entrepreneur Association in Germany. Mr. Liesenfeld earned his undergraduate degree from Hamburg
University.
