Weston Town Caucus Scheduled for Monday
The caucus will choose nominees for the Town Election ballot.

The Weston Town Caucus is just four days away, according to an announcement from town officials.
Town Caucus is scheduled for Monday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium atΒ Town Hall. All registered voters are welcome to attend, the announcement said.

At the caucus, prospective candidates for town offices are nominated to be placed on the Annual Town Election ballot. The election is scheduled for Saturday, May 11.
"The two candidates for each open position receiving theΒ largest number of votes at the Town Caucus are designated Caucus Nominees onΒ the ballot," according to the announcement.Β Each nominee must receive a minimum of 8 percent of the votesΒ cast.

Those wishing to run for office who aren't nominated by theΒ Town Caucus can take out nomination papers from the Town ClerkβsΒ office. At least 50 signatures of registered Weston voters are needed, and nomination papers must be filed with the Town Clerk noΒ later than Monday, March 25, at 5 p.m., according to the announcement. Β
