Boston Mayoral Candidates Make Strong Push On Social Media

Mayoral candidates use social media to reach voters.

With Tuesday’s election looming, Boston Mayoral candidates have made a strong push on social media to reach a mass audience.

On Monday, Marty Walsh sent out a message on why he wants to be mayor while opponent John Connolly has been posting photo galleries of his campaign trail.

“I want to be mayor because in my life I’ve learned to value deeply the contributions that every person, from every corner of our city, can make to our collective welfare — and I’ve seen the magic that happens when they are free to do so,” Walsh said on Facebook on Monday afternoon.  “More than arrive with new ideas, the next mayor must put in place this kind of environment for unleashing the creative power latent in our city.”
