Bring Your Pet to the West Roxbury Bark-B-Q Reading Event!
Kids who bring a pet are provided with a free lunch.

Having a ruff week? Unwind this Saturday, April 18, with the Bark-B-Q West Roxbury Reads event at the West Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library.
West Roxbury Reads, a series of April events focused on a particular novel, is introducing the new Bark-B-Q event to encourage children to read.

The Bark-B-Q will take place at noon and is centered around “The Giver” by Lois Lowry. In the novel, which is about a dystopian community, members of the area do not have the option of being in the company of animals.
There will also be animal crafts, treats for the cats and dogs in attendance and entertainment by Malik the Magic Guy.
