BurgerFi Closes West Roxbury Location

The Florida-based burger joint recently closed its West Roxbury branch after shutting the doors on its Comm. Ave restaurant.

West Roxbury, MA – Bostonians looking to satisfy their hunger pains at BurgerFi will now need a backup plan.

It appears the Florida-based chain has shut down its second and final branch in West Roxbury, according to a tweet cited by Boston Restaurant Talk.

The tweet was in response to one hungry poster, who asked the restaurant if the closure of its Commonwealth Avenue location applied to West Roxbury as well.

"Our West Roxbury location is currently closed," BurgerFi wrote back.

The Twitter thread began when another Twitter user asked if the Commonwealth Avenue location was closed for good.

"Don't get your hopes up. We have started marking it permanently closed on social media if that's any indication," BurgerFi replied.

This seemingly marks the end of BurgerFi's tenure in Boston; the restaurant opened both of its locations in 2014, but closed its Commonwealth Avenue shop last fall for what it said were renovations, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

Neither of the two Boston outlets are listed under BurgerFi's "locations" section on its website, Boston Restaurant Talk reported.
