A 17-unit condominium complex could soon be built at the former West Roxbury Motors site on Centre Street if a recent proposal gets approval from the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
The Boston Business Journal first reported developer Gary Martell, of Jamaica Plan, filed a proposal to build an 11,834-square-foot building at 1789 Centre Street near Willow Street.

The project’s team called the current vacant lot an “eyesore to the community” and that “redevelopment of the site will enhance the street frontage of both Centre and Willow Streets, adding energy and vitality.”
Brookline’s RF Schmidt Architect, LLC will serve as the project’s architect, according to the proposal. Acre Development Corporation currently owns the vacant plot of land.
