Gas Drops Below $3 in Parts of Massachusetts--But Not West Roxbury

Gas prices this week plummeted to their lowest levels of the year—dropping below $3 a gallon in some parts of Massachusetts. But West Roxbury’s prices have remained hovering just above $3 per gallon.

In West Roxbury, prices reached a low of $3.03 per gallon. Here’s a look at the lowest prices in town as of Thursday, according to GasBuddy:
- Hess (1779 Centre St. near Maple St.): $3.03
- Ella’s (167 Spring St. near Baker St.): $3.09
- Parkway (705 VFW Pkwy & Corey St.): $309
- Sunoco (5175 Washington St. near Grove St.): $3.17
- Sunoco (1200 VFW Pkwy near Gardner St.): $3.25
The average price of gas statewide was $3.26. Prices have been driven down by low demand and abundant supplies, according to the Associated Press.
