Mosquito Spraying Scheduled For West Roxbury, Hyde Park
Residents are advised to go indoors when trucks approach and close windows facing the street.

The Suffolk County Mosquito Control Project is scheduled to spray the pesticide sumithrin on Monday and Tuesday in West Roxbury and Wednesday in Hyde Park.
Truck-mounted aerosol sprayers will be used between dusk and 11:30 p.m., the county said in a news release.
While sumithrin is classified as slightly toxic by the EPA, the county says it does not pose a significant risk to people because of its low toxicity. Nevertheless, residents who see a spray truck approaching are advised to go indoors for a couple of minutes and also to close windows facing the street.
