Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center Honored With National Award
The award honors dedication to improving the care stroke patients receive in a post-hospital setting.

The Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center in West Roxbury was presented with the 2015 Post-acute Collaborative Participation Award from the Paul Coverdell National Acute Stroke Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
The award recognizes post-acute facilities that participate in the Coverdell Post-acute Quality Improvement Collaborative and have shown dedication in improving the care stroke patients receive in the post-hospital setting.

“Each day at Spaulding West Roxbury our dedicated team works to enable our patients to have the best care and recoveries possible. Our inter-disciplinary team approach combined with a commitment to innovation consistently provides outstanding outcomes for complex disease models such as stroke. Participating in this collaborative fits with our commitment to improving the care available and it is truly an honor to have our work recognized,” said Christine Reilly, Executive Director of Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center at West Roxbury.
The 14-member team comprised of nurses, therapists, dietitians and physicians from West Roxbury dedicated hundreds hours to performance improvement projects related to stroke.
