Boston Teacher Accused Of Assaulting Teen Held On $10K
The DA said the Boston teachers is accused of having an 'inappropriate relationship' with a young teen this winter.

WEST ROXBURY — A teacher was arraigned in West Roxbury Municipal Court Wednesday in connection with assaulting a child with intent to rape.
Alfred L. Johnson, 35, of Brockton was arrested and charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery and two counts of assault with intent to rape a child.
Johnson allegedly assaulted a young teenager with whom he had an "inappropriate relationship" this winter.

Although Johnson is a teacher at the Codman Academy Charter Public School in Dorchester, the assaults did not take place at a school, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
Judge Mary Ann Driscoll set bail at $10,000 and ordered him to surrender his passport, stay away from the victim, and have no unsupervised contact with minors if he posts that amount.

Tomorrow he's scheduled to return to court for a bail review.

According to his profile at the Codman Accademy, Johnson got his B.S., from Troy University at Montgomery and came to the Dorchester school in 2016 from Sommerville, where he was a Special Ed assistant teacher for fourth through sixth grades.
