West Roxbury Man Who Killed, Raped Man Ordered Back To Hospital
Nathurlon Munnerlyn allegedly admitted to investigators that he stabbed and sexually assaulted the 40-year-old West Roxbury victim.

BOSTON, MA — The West Roxbury man accused of stabbing and killing and raping a man was ordered back to Bridgewater State Hospital after his arraignment in Suffolk Superior Court Thursday, Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley said. Nathurlon Munnerlyn, 39, was indicted last week on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated rape for the Nov. 19 attack that killed 40-year-old Brian Sweeney in his Temple Street home. Munnerlyn has been held without bail at the hospital since being arrested in Nov. 22.
On the morning of Nov. 19, Sweeney's body was found stabbed and sexually assaulted in his home, prosecutors said. Boston Police said a they found a record of an incoming call from Munnerlyn around 3 a.m. that morning. Munnerlyn allegedly admitted to stabbing Sweeney in an interview with detectives. He also allegedly admitted to sexually assaulting Sweeney, and his description of the number and location of stab wounds matched what Sweeney had.
Investigators found bloodstained clothing and shoes at Munnerlyn's residence, prosecutors said.
