West Roxbury Resident Kathleen Henry Named Eastern Bank General Counsel
And if that's not impressive enough, turns out she finished her 10th Boston Marathon this year, too.

WEST ROXBURY, MA – Boston-based Eastern Bank has named Kathleen Henry as General Counsel and Secretary Friday.
Henry lives in West Roxbury with her husband and three children, and will manage the various legal affairs of the bank, from corporate governance and in-house legal advice to assessment of risk and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Previously, she served as Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel at Plymouth Rock Assurance. Before that, Henry spent 11 years at the law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart, becoming a partner in 2008.

She replaces Terence McGinnis, who recently retired after more than 12 years with Eastern Bank.
Henry earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Boston University and her juris doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Political Asylum Immigration Representation Project (PAIR) and on the Board of Trustees for the Insurance Library Association of Boston. She is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Lamp for Haiti Foundation.

A dedicated runner, Henry finished her 10th Boston Marathon in 2016.
