West Roxbury resident supports Boston Arts Academy
Evelyn Arana-Ortiz attended an event to support the BAA Foundation which raises essential funds for Boston's only public arts school.
West Roxbury resident Evelyn Arana-Ortiz recently attended an event hosted by Emerson College President Lee Pelton at the Paramount Center in Boston to benefit the Boston Arts Academy Foundation. The BAA Foundation supports Boston Arts Academy, the city's only public high school for the visual and performing arts, through its Building Our Future campaign with a goal of raising $30 million in five years to keep the "arts" in Boston Arts Academy.
The event included a fireside chat with Pelton, who also serves as BAA Foundation Board of Directors chair and Building Our Future Campaign co-chair, and Bryan Rafanelli, founder and chief creative officer of Rafanelli Events. BAA alum and Emerson student Jonah Barricklo shared remarks about how his experiences at BAA helped shape his future – specifically receiving a full scholarship to Emerson.
Arana-Ortiz currently serves on the Boston Arts Academy Foundation's board of directors and is a parent of a BAA alum '15.
