10th Annual Reading Makes Cent$ Program Happening
Rockland Trust Bank's summer reading program, Reading Makes Cent$, is back for the summer of 2018. Your child's reading habit can pay off!

From June 1 through the end of August, Rockland Trust Bank will be holding its tenth annual Reading Makes Cent$ promotion for children in grades 1-8. Any child who wishes to participate may pick up a journal at a Rockland Trust location. If they read up to ten books, they can earn a maximum of $25 ($2.50 per book). "I wish they had [Reading Makes Cent$] when I was a kid," laughed Westwood Branch Manager Olta Agaj in a recent interview.
Agaj noted that although the largest amount of completed journals are turned in at the end of August, she has also seen some completed journals already come into the branch. She said that she dropped off some journals at the Westwood Public Library recently along with a donation check from Rockland Trust Bank.
In 2017, more than 1700 participants read more than 17,000 books (and earned $42, 500 in the process!)
