2020 Westwood Candidate Forum Taking Place May 13

The annual Westwood Candidate Forum for Westwood’s 2020 town elections is adapting to current times by occuring virtually on May 13, 2020 at 7pm on Verizon 42 and Comcast 12. This forum is hosted by the Westwood Media Center and The League of Women Voters of Westwood/Walpole/Dedham. Questions from Westwood voters for this virtual forum are now being gathered on this Google Form.
The two offices in the 2020 town election which are contested are one open spot on the Select Board, and one open spot for Sewer Commissioner. The three people running for the Select Board are Michael F. Walsh (incumbent), Joshua C. Ames (Patch Article), and William “Bill” McLaughlin Sr (Patch Article). The two people running for the contested Sewer Commissioner seat are Diane E. Hayes and Andrew H. Kara.

The town election will take place on June 2, 2020. The final day to register to vote in the election is May 22, 2020. Please note that given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Westwood voters have the options of absentee or vote-by-mail ballots. All ballots must be received by June 2, 2020.
