49 Percent Of Westwood Residents Received At Least 1 Vaccine Dose

Nearly 80 percent of Westwood residents over age 75 have received both doses, according to the state's data.

WESTWOOD, MA — More than 1,200 of Westwood's oldest residents have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state’s data. Thirty-one percent of Westwood residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, up from 27 percent last week.

Roughly 18 percent of the town's residents have received just the first dose. About six in 10 residents ages 65 to 74 are fully vaccinated, and 18 percent in that age group have received just their first dose.

Westwood reported 37 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to the state report released Thursday, placing it in the "yellow" zone.
