Annual Westwood Little League Parade Held

Despite the chilly weather, the kids, town leaders, mascots, and sports groups came out to support the young athletes.

A chilly, gray day, didn't stop Westwood Little League and Youth Softball from having their annual parade from the Hanlon School to Morrison Baseball Field. Westwood High School senior Chloe Goodman sang the National Anthem. Following that, Selectboard Member Michael Walsh advised the young players to thank their parents and coaches throughout the season, and to have fun.

Paws from the Pawtucket Red Sox, as well as people in Red Sox and Yankee uniforms on stilts were in attendance. As the first game began, people wandered around booths set up by the baseball and softball boosters, Westwood Recreation Department, Silly Willy the Clown, and others.
