​Bridges by Epoch at Westwood Wins Excellence Award

Sarah Turcotte was a recipient of the Program Innovation Excellence Award by the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association.

From Denterlein: Sarah Turcotte, Resident Engagement Director at Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood was named a recipient of the Program Innovation Excellence Award by the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA) at the organization’s annual Excellence Awards Dinner on May 8, 2017. The awards are presented each year to individuals at every level of assisted living who have demonstrated their desire to make a positive difference in the lives of residents and who, in the view of their peers, stand out as role models in the industry.

As Resident Engagement Director, Turcotte is passionate about creating innovative programs for memory-impaired residents. Turcotte’s programs provide residents with the ability to engage in various fulfilling activities. Turcotte has implemented new programs that are driven by the residents’ interests – including history tours, science labs, a journaling group and a pen pal program. Turcotte has made a significant impact on the lives of the residents and their families.

“Mass-ALA is honored to recognize the dedicated employees and community members who work every day to ensure the highest quality of care and comfort for assisted living residents,” said Richard T. Moore, Mass-ALA President. “In their unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others, the 2017 award winners truly embody the core values of assisted living. The Program Innovation Award recognizes a resident or staff member who enhances the long-term quality of life for residents by developing and implementing an innovative program such as an activity program, health & wellness program or a family relationship program.
