Dedham's Legacy Place begins summer 2021 with an exciting expansion of its collection of retail and restaurants. The open-air lifestyle center announces five vibrant new additions to its fashion, interior design, food & beverage, and specialty product offerings.

Over the next few months, Legacy Place will welcome celebrated female apparel brand, Aerie, iconic retailer and designer of stylish Danish furniture, BoConcept, custom men’s clothier, Indochino, a new, locally founded American bistro, Liberty & MAIN, and Boston’s very own dog and cat gourmet treats boutique, Polkadog Bakery. With these new offerings, Legacy Place continues to strive as a top destination for retail, dining, and entertainment in the Greater Boston area.

“As we expand our retail and restaurant lineup at Legacy Place this season, we’re thrilled to welcome three internationally recognized brands, an entirely new and locally-inspired culinary concept, and a beloved area boutique shop for dogs and cats, further generating a sense of excitement for our clientele,” says Monica Doyle, Marketing Manager of Legacy Place. “These additions represent the beloved, one-of-a-kind products and unique experiences we aim to incorporate into our overall guest experience.”

Aerie is one of the country’s fastest-growing brands in the apparel industry (located in the former Victoria's Secret space). Committed to creating exceptional collections while positively influencing the way women see themselves and treat others, Aerie offers intimates, apparel, activewear, and swimwear with every piece designed for comfort. The Aerie brand promotes body positivity, empowerment, and confidence. With its pledge to forgo all retouching of campaign imagery in 2014, the brand’s powerful #AerieREAL platform continues to inspire women around the world to not only love themselves, but to help empower other women. Leading the charge behind the self-love movement, Aerie was one of the first brands to stop using models in its campaigns, rather highlighting real women that support its mission, and continues to do so today. Aerie features the OFFLINE by Aerie x Aly Raisman line from local former Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.

Also in July, Indochino, founded on the belief that no one should have to spend a fortune on a custom wardrobe, will open. The brand has evolved into a world-class retailer making custom men’s clothing an affordable reality. Its Legacy Place showroom will offer custom suits, chinos, blazers, and overcoats. Customers are paired with their own expert Style Guide who leads them through the creation of one-of-a-kind pieces by selecting from hundreds of fabrics and endless options to add a personalized touch, be it a monogram, lapel, pocket, or lining. Style Guides collect precise measurements upon consultation to create custom pieces that are shipped directly to their customers’ doors in less than a month.

Liberty & MAIN, a new American bistro featuring an interactive bar and seasonal outdoor patio, is excited to join Legacy Place’s lineup of restaurants this summer. Locally owned and operated by restaurant veteran and former CEO & President of The Smith & Wollensky Group, Michael Feighery, Liberty & MAIN will offer menus drawing from Feighery’s extensive travels, and utilizing the freshest, locally-supported and sourced ingredients. Dishes will represent both American bistro classics and new favorites, crafted and presented in an imaginative and thoughtful manner by the restaurant’s Executive Chef, Doug Brown. Liberty & MAIN’s beverage program will celebrate local producers including a partnership with the award-winning Castle Island Brewery in Norwood, MA which will introduce a signature Liberty Draft, crafted especially for the restaurant. Rounding out the Liberty & MAIN experience, the restaurant’s interior design will be approachable with rich undertones and adorned with zinc finishes, light woods, antique lighting, and hand-cut tiles (it will be located in the former Aquataine location).

Greater Boston’s original boutique for dogs and cats, Polkadog Bakery, will open at Legacy Place in Summer 2021 offering its full line of signature, healthy gourmet treats handcrafted daily at Boston Fish Pier. Guests are encouraged to bring their furry friends to the shop and chat with the caring, knowledgeable staff while their pets can choose their own treats like Cod Skins, Chicken Littles, Wonder Nuggets, or Clam Chowda Sticks. Yes, cat owners of the Dedham area, we will finally have a source for boutique treats for our cats. Polkadog’s new Dedham location will showcase a giant treat bar along with the company's widest and most complete collection of Raw Frozen and Partially Cooked meals. Not to be missed are Polkadog's own range of exceptional food and care products as well as its unique home delivery service for those afternoons when a dog simply wants to cuddle up with some of the store’s gourmet treats.

These openings will join Legacy Place’s lineup of over 75 shops and restaurants, including the much anticipated, award-winning ramen restaurant, Menya Jiro, slated to open this fall at the property. With guest and staff safety at the forefront of its priorities, Legacy Place continues to abide by all government safety regulations and uphold all sanitization practices. To promote social distancing, visitors and employees are encouraged and reminded to abide by current distancing guidelines by way of helpful signage.
