Fine forgiveness in October at Westwood Public Library
The Westwood Food Pantry and Circle of Hope will be the recipients of donated items that will clear patron's fines.

It happens to the best of us. You really mean to return that celebrity memoir you borrowed two months ago to Westwood Public Library the next time you're over by the Post Office, but you don't. You swear keeping that book in your car will help you remember to drop it off at the Islington branch the next time you're at CVS and you forget. Then one day you log onto the library's website hoping to pop some audiobooks on your phone, and you can't because your fines are too high.
If paying your library fine isn't a possibility for you or you'd like to donate, throughout the month of October 2018 the Friends of the Westwood Public Library will be sponsoring fine forgiveness. To participate, simply bring donations of toiletries or socks to Westwood Public Library and your overdue fines will be forgiven. The beneficiaries of these donations will be the Westwood Food Pantry (toiletries) and Needham's Circle of Hope (toiletries and socks). In particular, items which will be accepted are:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Bodywash
- Toothpaste
- Soap
- Toothbrush
- Floss
- Deodorant
- Boxes of facial tissue
- Lotion
- Menstrual products
- Socks (Ideally plain white crew)
