GoFundMe Established For Family Of Westwood Fire Victim

Michael Lennon, who was expecting a baby with his wife in May, died in a two-alarm fire at his Tamarack Road home.

WESTWOOD, MA – An online fundraising campaign has been established for the family of a man who died in a two-alarm fire in Westwood Wednesday night. Michael Lennon, 47, was pulled from his home at 70 Tamarack Rd. and later died of his injuries at the hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, although it is not believed to be suspicious.

Lennon was a newlywed who was expecting a daughter with his wife, Lisa, in May, according to a GoFundMe set up to raise money for his widow.

"In addition to claiming the life of her husband, Mike, and her cat, the inferno consumed every personal belonging [Lisa] has ever owned," a co-worker of Lisa's wrote on the GoFundMe page.

Donations will go toward funeral arrangements, housing and necessities for the baby.
