Half Of Westwood Is Without Power
Thousands of Westwood residents are in the dark Thursday afternoon.

WESTWOOD, MA – Thousands of Westwood residents are without power Thursday afternoon, according to MEMA. The outage map shows over 3,000 customers – 51 percent of those served in town – are in the dark as of 3:30 p.m.
Over 350,000 people statewide have lost power. Eversource, which serves Westwood, said people should plan to be without power for multiple days.
The Westwood Senior Center, 60 Nahatan St., is open for residents who need to stay warm and charge their devices. The Islington Community Center and Islington Branch Library are closed until further notice.
